Bedford Park Neighbourhood History

Bedford Park was once a hamlet for farmers that would use as a place to rest during their commute to the market in Toronto. Bedford Park Hotel was once located on the south-west corner of Yonge Street and Fairlawn. In 1890, the Metropolitan Street Railway of Toronto began service to this area. The original homes in this area were built between 1890-1940.

Bedford Park Neighbourhood Today

Today, Bedford Park consists of mostly professionals and families. With several great public and private schools within the area, it is a popular neighbourhood with young children. There are also many parkettes, playground, community centre and a library in and around Bedford Park.

Bedford Park Properties & Real Estate

Bedford Park originally included mostly bungalows which were built between 1890-1940. A large majority of these homes have been replaced with larger two storey detached and semi-detached homes.
