New Toronto started off as a working town in 1906 when the Grand Trunk Railway expanded to New Toronto. The area officially became a Township in 1920. New Toronto was later amalgamated with the former Township of Etobicoke.
New Toronto is a great community with a wide range of residents from all different backgrounds and demographics. The neighbourhood is located along Toronto’s western beaches. New Toronto is a great neighbourhood for families and individuals who need to commute to work as there is access to both the TTC and Go Transit.
Many of the homes in New Toronto were built between the 1910’s and 1950’s. The majority of the homes include smaller bungalows and two storey homes.
