West Don Lands

West Don Lands Neighbourhood History

The West Don Lands was once used by the commercial and industrial industries. In 2005, Waterfront Toronto’s revitalization plans were approved. In 2015, the area was used for housing for the Pan Am / Parapan Am Games. The buildings that were used for housing the athletes were later converted to condos and housing for George Brown students.

Today, West Don Lands consists of several condos, a beautiful park, small splash pad for kids and several restaurants, cafes and a local bike shop. It is a convenient neighbourhood for individuals who work in the downtown core and Financial District.
